Crown Crystal - Part 2
CROWN CRYSTAL PATTERNS ~ Part II
BULLRUSHES and BUSH ORCHIDS-dual pattern.
Various shapes are known-pattern is scarcely ever seen. This bowl is 8 and one-half inch.
Found in ruffled and bullet edged bowls. 6.25 in. in size, these bowls were also made with a plain interior. It stands on a dome base.
According to an Ebay ad placed by Marty Hoenig of Australia in July 2004, this compote is the only one known in iridized Rosalin glass. Crown Crystal Glass Ltd., Sydney, Australia, circa 1924. Exterior pattern is Hobnail and Cane. This Pink Rosalin is a scarce color in the pallet of that prominent glass manufacturer. When compared to other Crown Crystal Rosalin non-carnival patterns, it is the same transparent champagne pink color. Crown Crystal did make a few non-iridized items of carnival glass patterns in Rosalin, clear and Citron (vaseline/uranium) colored glass.
NOTE: Just because this colored base glass is not recorded in reference on Australian Carnival, does not mean that it cannot exist, as some people assume. Another rare glass color found in Australian Carnival is aqua base glass, said to have originated from use of old canning jars as cullet, when times were difficult during WWI.
Size of this compote is 6 ¼?high x 10?wide. The other example of Rosalin Carnival Glass is an Emu master bowl in marigold over Rosalin, as described by the writer of this report.
Bidding on this unusual compote ended in July 2004 with a final sale price of $1375.50. 41 bids had been placed.
Two shapes and several sizes, these bowls were offered in Sydney in 1927 at a price of one shilling.
SHRIKE is surrounded by two sprigs of golden wattle.

揂 Christian's life is a window through which others can see Jesus.?/B>
揃e doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word
and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away,
and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and
continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.?/B>
Obedience is not about what we say we will do, but about what we actually do in response to God's Word.
