DIAMOND POINT:  Some vases  in the standard sizes suffer from an element of disinterest, but that is not the case with this pattern. Similar to collecting habits for the many and varied sizes in Imperial Ripple vases, the color range available in Diamond Point pattern makes it attractive. Another point to stress is the fact that the design was not used on any other shape, so for pattern collectors this is a 搈ust have?
Sizes range from the 6?7 ½?squat to the 12?tall variety. They all have a 3 3/8?base diameter, and most of them display the Northwood trademark. These vases can exhibit 12 flame points or only 6 flame points, indicating there were two different ring caps used. Please click on the link to review How Carnival Glass Was Made. We display both types in our photographs, as well.
Squat vases in green seem to turn up most often, followed by amethyst and marigold. Cobalt blue and white are scarce. Aqua, ice blue and ice green examples rarely present themselves.
8?- 12?sizes are referred to as 搒tandard sizes? with a wider variety of colors offered. Amethyst, marigold and green vases seem to turn up most often. White is fairly available. Cobalt blue, lavender, ice green, and horehound will present a challenge to locate. The aqua opal vases are more difficult to find. Few examples of Renninger blue and smoke are to be found. Teal and Sapphire vases top the rarity list. There are only a couple of examples known in each of those colors!
(You may click on ~~D~~ in our pattern alphabet to view a Sapphire DP example having 12 flames).

FOUR PILLARS:  Although this design was produced in crystal, introduction in carnival glass came in 1910. Popularity extended on into the 20s in stretch form, and as late as 1925 in Northwood's 揅hinese Coral?line of opaque red glass.
The protruding, 搉ubby?feet are subject to damage, which is something to be considered, so far as desirability is concerned. 9?12?is the usual size range, but there are some rare 5?7?squat vases known. Some are trademarked, some are not. Amethyst and green examples in squat sizes are known.
Color range of the 9?12?sizes is more extensive. Amethyst, marigold, green, cobalt blue, white, ice blue, ice green, russet, teal, aqua, aqua opalescent, ice green opalescent, lime green opalescent, sapphire blue, Renninger blue, vaseline/marigold overlay. Marigold on custard is the rarest color with fewer than half dozen known.

Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.
May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things, who have said,
揥ith our tongue we will prevail; our lips are our own; who is lord over us??/FONT>
?FONT COLOR="#CCFFCC">For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,?says the Lord;
揑 will set him in the safety for which he yearns.?/FONT>
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
The wicked prowl on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.   ( Psalm 12)
Psalm 12 is a song of lament, obviously portraying the grievous danger facing anyone who walks with God. Some call this Psalm (song) as one calling for judgment upon one's enemies. In any case, it is a psalm directed to the one suffering at the hands of others for the sake of righteousness.
