Fenton Glass - Part 12
FENTON GLASS - Part 12
Only known Celeste Footed ORANGE TREE Tumbler.
Courtesy Bob Smith.
Footed ORANGE TREE Tumbler: There are a few stray pieces of celeste blue in this pattern, but when an example presents itself, buyers line up! Skillful, knowledgeable, long-time tumbler collector Bob Smith stepped to the front of that line when this tumbler came up for sale on eBay, offered by a seller who did not know the rarity of the tumbler. It required some fancy bidding in the last few minutes, but Bob won out!
The tumbler stands 4 ¼?tall, with a rim of 3?and a 2 1/8?base between 1 leg and another.
ORANGE TREE Compote in Celeste. - $105.
ORANGE TREE Compote: Aqua is a close runner-up in the rare category, with blue, marigold, amethyst and teal being more available than these celeste examples.
LOTUS & GRAPE, 6 in. diam. in Celeste. $1700.4-10
LOTUS and GRAPE: Marigold is the color most often found in these 5?6?footed bowls, with blue next in line. Somewhat more scarce are amethyst, green, vaseline and the very scarce examples in celeste.
Celeste PLAID 9 in. bowl.-$10,000 - 4-10
PLAID: Factory produced only in 9?bowls in square, ice cream shape, and ruffled, with marigold being the most common color, the design is found only on this one shape. Amethyst is a scarce color. Blue bowls are usually quite nicely iridized, with green examples somewhat difficult to locate. The red bowls can have a lot of amberina or be quite dark in base glass color. The celeste examples are next to impossible to obtain. This pattern must have been produced for a buyer in the Pacific Northwest, for the majority of them, particularly red bowls have been found in that area.
IB Rose Spray - pale blue will go for $25.
A GOOD strong IB like this - $125! You decide!.
ROSE SPRAY in Celeste- 3.5 in.tall x 3.75 in. opening.
Left: - ROSE SPRAY Compote in White.
Right - Mgld. ROSE SPRAY Compote, 4.5 in. tall.
ROSE SPRAY: Surely the design was intended for only the mold/goblet shape, as seen in the marigold compote. The subtlety of the delicate rose pattern in the interior becomes quite faint when flared into the J.I.P. style. Non-iridized examples are to be found in amethyst/green, and perhaps other dark colors, but all iridized compotes are in pastels. Celeste, ice blue, ice green, marigold and white are known, but cannot be considered plentiful.
STIPPLED RAYS - White, 11 in. diameter.
STIPPLED RAYS Compote in Celeste. - 6.75 in. diam. flare.
STIPPLED RAYS Celeste Compote - 3 in. tall, 3 in. base,
6 in. across top. This one belongs to Dennis Sutton.
STIPPLED RAYS Compote in IG.
STIPPLED RAYS Compote in Topaze (Vaseline) 3 5/8 tall.
STIPPLED RAYS: The large square white bowls are quite scarce. One sold in 1997 for $250! Although this pattern is scoffed at by some more 揳dvanced?collectors, particularly when it comes to the bowl shape, compotes are not often available. Olive, vaseline, ice green and celeste ruffled and ice cream shapes are actually quite attractive.

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders.
Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility,
For 揋od resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.?/FONT>
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are
experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while,
Perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen
