Imperial Vases - Part 7
IMPERIAL Vases ?Part 7
Left - Amber BEADED BULLSEYE- 10.75 inches.
Middle - BEADED BULLSEYE Lime-Vaseline - Glows.-8.5 in. tall.
Right - Green BEADED BULLSEYE Vas 11 inches.
BEADED BULLSEYE: Marigold is more available than other colors, with purple examples next in line. Before expounding further, we should say that these vases having a 20 rayed base design are exceptionally iridized and follow the usual beauty of Imperial quality! Helios, smoke, and green are a bit more difficult to locate, with amber, lime green and cobalt blue vases considered scarce to rare!
Would you believe? Kathi and Galen Johnson found a pair of amber vases at a flea market, on their way home from the Mid-Atlantic Convention in Oct. 2009. The pattern is found only on the vase shape, which can range in size from 6??14?
Left - Purple 14 in. Mid-size Funeral MORNING GLORY.
Right - Design on base - Mid-size Funeral Vase.
Left - MORNING GLORY Mid-Size Funeral - Marigold.
Right - 5 in. Base with MANY LITTLE STARS design.
MORNING GLORY Mid-Size Funeral Vase: This purple 14?funeral has a 9?flare at its widest point. The base measures 5?diameter. The marigold example shown here, is 16 ½?tall, 8?across the top, having the 5?base. Perhaps there are helios examples yet to be discovered having the 揗any Little Stars?base?
A viewer sent photos of the vase and base for identification, asking whether we had ever seen such a design on the base? While attending a recent Wroda auction, we picked up the purple vase you see here and asked questions of those in attendance. Ingrid Spurrier of Canada provided the information stated above., calling our attention to the marigold vase as well. (There is always someone who has the answer to every question! This is one of the most profound reasons to circulate among those with like interests!)
Left - SCROLL & FLOWER PANELS - Imperial #480 - Imperial Caralog Ad.
Right - SCROLL & FLOWER PANELS in VERY Rare Purple. - $8700. 2-2010.
Left - SCROLL & FLOWER PANELS - 10 in. - Sold for $500.
Right - SCROLL & FLOWER PANELS Repro. in Peacock marked IG on bottom.
IG marked SCROLL & FLOWER PANELS.
SCROLL and FLOWER PANELS: These lovely vases seem to be very scarce in marigold and downright rare in purple. Old vases have an impressed star in the 搈arie?or bottom. Reproductions marked IG from the 1960s are found in marigold, Peacock and smoke.
LOGANBERRY: Marigold examples are more difficult to find than Emerald vases, and helios and amber also surface fairly often. The stunning purple examples are highly sought after. Smoke is another color which is not seen often, placing them in the rare category. Loganberry pattern is listed as Imperial抯 #477, stands 10?tall with outstanding mold work.
Dean & Diane Fry, 12/10
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love,
As Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us,
An offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even
Be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish
Talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man,
Who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things
the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Therefore do not be partakers with them.
