FENTON - PART 21
7 in. IG LEAF CHAIN Plate - sold for $3500. in April 2010.
LEAF CHAIN - Ice Green - 9 inch.
Celeste 7 in. LEAF CHAIN Plate - damaged - sold for $250.
LEAF CHAIN: Pastels were produced toward the end of the carnival glass era, and in many instances they are fewer in number than colors produced in earlier years. Many times, at least when offered at auction, the price results far exceed those extended to their 揹arker?counterparts. Marigold, blue, green and amethyst are more 搒tandard?colors.
CHRYSANTHEMUM - 11 in. footed bowl in blue.
CHRYSANTHEMUM in Green.
10 in. Celeste CHRYSANTHEMUM
Sold for $9,337 in April 2010.
Celeste CHRYSANTHEMUM From Durban, S. Africa.
CHRYSANTHEMUM: Perhaps this celeste example is a one-of-a-kind? It appeared on eBay and the number of bidders created an astounding sales result.
The blue and green bowls are more along the lines of customary collector pieces.
Strange DRAGON - Courtesy Val Brooks.
Black - Courtesy Val Brooks.
Base glass of the Black DRAGON & LOTUS - Courtesy Val Brooks.
DRAGON & LOTUS: When Val Brooks contacted us with this bowl, we quickly referred her to Ardonna Bucher, the 揇ragon Lady? To say the least, it is an unusual bowl. The late Roger Gladson would have been delighted with it, since he highly admired black amethyst carnival glass. This one does appear to be black until held to the light.
LEAF TIERS 8.5 in. Berry Bowl in Blue.
Amethyst LEAF TIERS 4.25 in. diam. x 2.5 in. tall (FENTON).
Fenton LEAF TIERS Spittoon.
Courtesy Seeck Auctions. Sold for $4,500. - 2010.
LEAF TIERS: Although the 3 feet offer interest, there is no interior pattern. Marigold is the dominant color overall. A four piece table set, the large and small berry bowls and a water set are found in the pattern. Blue examples are fairly scarce. This spittoon shape is made from a tumbler.
The 4 ¼?bowl in amethyst is new and displays the Fenton name within the oval on the inside of the bowl.

When Things Look Darkest
False christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. (Mark 13:22-23)
