FLORAL and OPTIC:  in various shapes appeared in the March 1924 Butler Brothers ad. This delicate design is also found as an exterior design on Double Dutch bowls. In its primary pattern use on the shapes displayed in this article, it can be declared a bridge between the carnival glass period and stretch glass. All shapes are from the same mold. Marigold and clambroth colors dominate the rose bowl shape. Teal and smoke in this shape are very scarce! Very few examples are known in celeste blue. Marigold over milk glass in any shape are also rare. These are known in 8?9?bowls as well as rose bowls. Marigold, clambroth, white, teal and red are known in the footed 10?cake plate. Red tones in any of the three basic shapes can lend toward amberina.

FANCY FLOWERS REPRO with clear pedestal and only 9 in. diameter.

FANCY FLOWERS Reproduction:  Listed in factory catalogs as Imperial抯 #737, this is a pattern which most definitely can be termed a 揜ARE-so-what!?It is rarely mentioned and found very seldom!  (You may view a vintage bowl by clicking into -F- in our homepage alphabet)  These reproductions from 1966 have a clear pedestal to delineate them from the older examples.

FASHION Punch Cup:  We are pleased to display one of the red punch cups known in this pattern! A cup sold in ?3 for $425. When Carl O. Burns published his Imperial Book in 1996, he stated that marigold, purple, smoke punch sets were standard colors; further stating that several examples of the punch cup in red are known, and that a matching punch bowl and base had been reported. It is the only punch set known in red carnival. Another red punch cup sold in ?7 for $525. Imperial is not known to have produced much red carnival glass, and perhaps the few known examples in Fashion pattern were merely 搕est?pieces?

DIAMOND LACE 9 in. Berry Bowl in Purple.
DIAMOND LACE 9 inch Berry Bowl in Purple.

DIAMOND LACE:  Water sets are among the most beautiful of all shapes in this pattern, and not terribly difficult to obtain. In fact, marigold is far more scarce! Berry set elements: 5?sauce and 8?9?in marigold or purple are quite another story. The large master bowl in marigold are plentiful enough but a purple one should be considered a prized possession. Small size bowls seem rather scarce. One whimsey rose bowl thought to have been shaped from a tumbler is known. Question is: Does it derive from factory production? There are no known factory produced 7?8?collar base rose bowls in Diamond Lace.
A 7?8?collar based rose bowl was reproduced in the ?0s and ?0s. Red and green are known colors. They are marked with the IG trademark.

Scarce PROPELLER 8.5 in. Compote.j
Scarce PROPELLER 8.5 inch Compote.

PROPELLER Compote:  This round bowl-shaped is large and rare. It measures 8? 9?in diameter and is about 4?in height. It has been reported in only marigold. The smaller compote is seen more frequently, usually in a ruffled shape. It stands just shy of 4?in height and has a diameter of about 6?  (You may view a Helios example of the small compote in Imperial Helios ?Part 1) and a very rare 7 ½?Propeller Vase in A Step Away From the Usual. The vase is known only in marigold.

Dean & Diane Fry, 12-10

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for 搇ove will cover a multitude of sins.?/FONT>
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God.
If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies,
That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you,
as though some strange thing happened to you;
but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ抯 sufferings, that when His glory is revealed,
you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
(1 Peter 4:7-14)
