Beaded Purses - Part 3
BEADED   PURSES ?Part 3

Grouping found in a Seeck Auciton.

Many of the purses seen in this segment continued in use during the early 1940s. Any viewer past the age of 70-75 years young may recall  揗other? or an older sister carrying one for 揳n evening out? The mode of dress changed following WWII, giving way to some made of 揷elluloid? We have one of those in a brown shade with some brass trim, tucked away after going through some of the items left when Dean抯 Mother passed away in 1991 at the age of 94. That celluloid purse is nearly identical in shape and size to the box style seen in this segment.

Dean & Diane Fry, 5/12

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

The lamp of the body is the eye.
If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and money.  (Matthew 6:19-24)
