Brockwitz Glass - Part 2
BROCKWITZ GLASS ?Part 2
Brockwitz Catalog Page #76.
Brockwitz SACRED HEART Closeup.
SACRED HEART (indicating Our Lord): is displayed on the chest, just above the hands, as well as on the base. These candlesticks are 10?tall. So far as is known, these candlesticks with the square base are the only ones found in carnival glass. None having the scroll feet are known to be iridized.
Brockwitz CHRISTUS Candlestick, 10 in. tall.
Metal candlestick. Sold for $675. 3-09-Seeck.
CHRISTUS Candlestick: appears to have a 搑eplacement?metal candle cup. Reportedly: three perfect and two with damage are known in marigold.
A damaged one sold in 2009 for $675. Dave Drabing places this in the #1 spot according to value and believes $16,000 would be required to purchase a perfect one. He rates Christ #2 in the Rarity category.
MARIA - Brockwitz - Candlecup missing.
MARIA Candlestick: is minus the candle cup. In spite of that problem, these pieces remain desirable to collectors and virtually never seen in the United Sates.
Christus and Maria
CHRISTUS & MARIA Candlesticks: seen in the Brockwitz catalog offer a choice of bases and candle cups, along with a choice in size. The base protrusions on the Christus is a different design than used on the Fenne candlesticks.
FENNE JESUS & MARY Candlesticks in crystal.
JESUS CHRIST & MARY - Fenne.
Mary (left) -- Jesus Christ (right).
Candlecup appears to differ from Maria - Christus type - Fenne.
A CROSS and HEART are used on the Brockwitz Candlesticks - Fenne.
Face Sculpture on Base Protrusions - Fenne.
JESUS & MARY Candlesticks: As often occurs when more than one manufacturer produces 搇ikenesses? certain alterations occur in the mold work. Certain similarities can be observed; however there are obvious differences in these elements produced by another German glass factory situated in FENNE, a town in the Southwest of Germany, near the city of Saarbrucken. The candlesticks appear in their 1935 catalogue, standing slightly more than 11?in height. This company is not known to have made carnival glass.
These 揷old iridized?candlesticks have been found with spotty, uneven iridescence which in some cases have been 搘ashed off?to reveal the true basic crystal glass.
Dean and Diane Fry - 12-14
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all,
taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God;
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all
perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
(Ephesians 6: 10-18)
